About AgVantage FS

AgVantage FS is a full-service agriculture and energy supplier headquartered in Waverly, Iowa with locations in north-central and eastern Iowa. We provide agronomic products and services, fuel and lubricant products, grain services and storage, precision farming applications, and full-line finance options.

Objectives

The primary goal of the scholarship program is to encourage area students to prepare for a career in agriculture or agribusiness. This program is designed to provide college financial assistance to dependents of AgVantage FS employees or customers.

Who is Eligible?

To apply for an AgVantage FS Scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be a dependent of an AgVantage FS employee or customer.
  • Be at least a high school senior or already enrolled in a college and must have maintained a satisfactory grade point of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale. Please submit a copy of current transcript.
  • Scholarship recipient may receive an AgVantage FS scholarship once per year.

Scholarship Award

AgVantage FS will offer up to eleven (11) $1,000 scholarships to full-time area students with an interest in pursuing a career in agriculture or agribusiness related majors. Payments will be made to the college the student enrolls in at the beginning of the fall semester.

Qualified applicants should send application and official transcript to: Raelene Maas, Director of Human Resources, AgVantage FS, PO Box 828, Waverly, IA 50677 or e-mailed to [email protected]; and must be received by January 31, 2025 to be accepted. Applications are available at www.agvantagefs.com.

Selection of Recipients

The AgVantage FS Board of Directors will review the applications and rank the scholarship recipients. The recipients will be selected according to the following criteria: 1) outstanding leadership potential, 2) academic achievement, and 3) active participation in local or state clubs or community service events that promote agriculture and environmental stewardship. Award winners will be notified by April 1, 2025.
