We are ready to take on the next generation of workers by preparing them for their future with our Custom Applicator Registered Apprenticeship. This is a new opportunity through AgVantage FS. The apprenticeship is designed for candidates looking to make a career change or enter a new role in the agriculture industry where they will receive the necessary licenses and training needed for the job. This includes a Class A CDL License and an Iowa Pesticide Applicator License.
Your Career as a Custom Applicator Registered Apprentice
- Spend your days doing a variety of tasks operating commercial sprayers or floaters that apply crop inputs to producer fields.
- Operate and maintain single or tandem axle trucks and other equipment.
- Obtain your CDL License and Pesticide Applicator License during your apprenticeship – paid by AgVantage FS!
- An apprentice joins our noble purpose to help us feed and fuel the world.
Requirements to enroll in the Custom Applicator Registered Apprenticeship
- 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Committed to an estimated 2-year apprenticeship program
The registered apprentice will:
- Receive the related training instruction (RTI) that allows the apprentice to advance at their pace and be rewarded with wage increases once they’re proficient in those competencies.
- EARN & LEARN with a Journeyman while AgVantage FS pays the equivalent of college education.
- Earn a nationally recognized certificate at the conclusion of the apprenticeship which allows the apprentice to advance in this technical career.
